Executive Council Update

Friends,
I have just returned from the Executive Council meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Christ's church is growing and we are laying down a framework for our common mission.  Much has been done and much is yet to do.

Dr. Gemechis Buba, our mission director, has developed and the council has adopted a plan for making and mobilizing desciples for the sake of Christ's mission.  The NALC Mission Society is a way for individuals to become involved in missions locally and globally.  You will hear more about it at the convocation.  I think it is a great way for people to be directly involved.  It is another way that the NALC is seeking to equip and rally people to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The convocation is only a few weeks away.  Be sure to register for the convocation -- pastors, delegates, visitors.  An offering will be received at the convocation.  The Great Commission Fund and the NALC General Fund will share equally in the gifts received.  Perhaps you would like to bring an offering from the congregation. 

I will post additional information regarding our recent council meeting as well as information of interest from the NALC.
