Prayer Request
Friends,
I would like to ask your prayers on behalf of First Lutheran Church, Paxton, IL. On Sunday, March 27, 2011, they will hold a congregational meeting to take a first vote to leave the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Last fall, they took a vote to leave. Although it had a large majority in favor of leaving, they failed to reach the two-thirds necessary by two votes.
May the Holy Spirit lead and guide them in their discussions and decisions.

Success! First, Paxton, IL, held their vote on Sunday, March 27. It passed 73-9. Now they move to the phase of making a determination regarding body affiliation.
